Before anyone commits to a $40,000 build, we spend a short, fixed-fee sprint finding out what the application actually needs to do. You leave with a scope and a milestone plan you could take to anyone.

After Launch
Every build ends one of two ways. A managed plan, where I run your site on my infrastructure for a monthly fee starting at launch. Or build and hand off, where everything moves to your accounts for a one-time setup fee. Hosting is included in every managed plan, so there's no second bill.
Minimum for Foundation
$150 / mo
Hosting, platform and security updates, backups, a quarterly access review, and Editor for your own copy and photos.
Minimum for Site + Systems
$350 / mo
Everything in Essentials, plus up to two hours of changes a month.
Minimum for Custom Application
From $400 / mo
Monitoring, dependency upgrades, and up to three hours of fixes a month with a next-business-day response. Infrastructure billed at cost.
Any build moves up a plan. None moves down. Change plans any time. Cancel after the first year at no cost; in year one the handoff setup fee applies.
Changes beyond a plan's included hours bill at $125 an hour, in quarter-hour increments.

Questions
Yes. You're the legal owner of your domain, code, and data on every plan. On a managed plan, hosting, DNS, and code run on my accounts, and everything moves to yours within 14 days of a request. Prefer to hold every account yourself? Build and hand off sets it up in your name from the start. The Ownership page lists every account and role.
Yes, through Editor: you open your own live page, click a sentence and retype it, or swap a photo. Layout, fonts, and colours stay out of reach, so there is nothing to break. Editor is included on every managed plan. On a build and hand off you receive and own the full source code instead, so the site stays editable by you or any developer you hire, directly in the code. The custom tool drives the cost. A guided intake is smaller than a member area with its own data. I'll give you a firm number after one conversation.
We define who uses the application, test the riskiest technical piece, and finish with a fixed scope and milestone plan. The $3,000 is credited toward the build if we go ahead.
Technical SEO ships in every tier: clean markup, fast pages, structured data, and sitemaps. For ongoing SEO and content strategy, I refer clients to Cory Towler at Offset Digital.
Games, sites under $5,000, and ongoing content writing. For smaller sites and ongoing SEO, I send people to Cory Towler at Offset Digital. When his clients need an app or a custom tool, he sends them to me.
