Ownership & Access
In your name. Managed by LGD.
You're the legal owner of your domain, your code, and your data on every plan. Choose to hold the accounts yourself, or let me run the infrastructure so one person answers for it. Either way, your exit is written down before we start.
You own what matters.
Your domain, code, and data are legally yours on every plan. So are your Google, payment, and email accounts.
One operator, on the record.
On a managed plan, hosting, DNS, and code run on my accounts, so one person answers for them. On accounts in your name, I'm added as a named user at the lowest role the work needs. No shared passwords either way.
Your exit is in writing.
On a managed plan, everything moves to your accounts within 14 days. On a hand-off build, remove my access and the site keeps running. Your domain is never held back.
Who Holds What
Account by account.
I run the infrastructure so one person answers for it. You keep ownership of everything with your name on it.
Hosting, DNS, and code run on my accounts. Your Google, payment, and email accounts stay yours.
Roles you take on under build and hand off.
Leaving
Your exit is written into the agreement. Within 14 days of your request, your domain moves to your own Cloudflare account, and you receive the code repository, a full database export, your DNS records, and every credential tied to the site. Late payment pauses hosting after written notice. Your domain gets released either way. After your first year, the move costs nothing. Before then, the handoff setup fee applies. Editor is part of the managed service and stops with it: your site keeps running untouched, and the code you receive stays editable directly.
Setup
Built to survive staff changes.
Churches and small businesses lose access most often when the one person who set things up moves on. These rules prevent that.
- Accounts open under a role address like web@yourdomain, not a personal inbox.
- At least two people on your side hold owner access on every account in your name.
- Your role address is the registrant email on your domain, so a transfer never depends on one person's inbox.
- Search Console is verified through DNS, so ownership follows the domain.
- Two-factor authentication on every owner login.
- A one-page access sheet at launch: every account, who owns it, and who else is on it.
On a managed plan
Quarterly access review.
Once a quarter I check every account against your access sheet and flag anyone who shouldn't still be there: former staff, old vendors, forgotten logins.
Working with partners
Added by you, scoped by role.
If you bring in an SEO partner like Offset Digital, they get their own seat on Search Console and Analytics. You approve it, and it's listed on your access sheet.
If we part ways
I remove myself.
Everything in my accounts moves to yours within 14 days. I hand over documentation, walk your next developer through the codebase if you want, then remove my access and confirm in writing.
Let's Talk.
Already have a domain or hosting somewhere? I'll audit what you have, confirm the domain is in your name, and move the rest where it belongs during the build.
